Bridging Tradition and Technology in Modern Firefighting
Lewis Warren – Director of The UHP Project
Lewis Warren is a retired firefighter with over 29 years of service, specializing in Ultra High Pressure (UHP) firefighting, training, and Quick Response Vehicles (QRVs). Over his career, he has trained more than 20,000 firefighters across 50 nations and 45 states. A passionate advocate for UHP technology, Lewis has led initiatives to improve firefighting efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and enhance firefighter safety. Through his leadership at K3 Fire and The UHP Project, Lewis continues to push the boundaries of modern firefighting with innovative technologies and training programs.
Wildfires and structure fires are growing more dangerous and costly every year, especially here in Texas. Traditional firefighting tools often aren’t enough to keep pace with today’s fire environment. Fire departments—especially rural and volunteer stations—struggle with limited funding, outdated equipment, and increased risk to firefighters.

That’s where The UHP Project comes in.

We created this initiative to bridge the gap between funding opportunities, trusted manufacturers, and the departments who need the equipment most.
Our goal is simple: get Ultra High Pressure (UHP) technology into the hands of more firefighters—saving lives, property, and resources.
Our Values
Innovation
Enhancing modern solutions for faster, safer suppression.
Integrity
Committed to transparency, trust, and firefigher first focus.
Impact
Reducing environmental damage, saving lives, and protecting communities.

Our Mission
The UHP Project exists to advance firefighting through innovation, accessibility, and education. Our mission is to make Ultra High Pressure (UHP) technology attainable and practical for departments across Texas and beyond. We bridge the gap between fire agencies, grant programs, and trusted manufacturers — guiding departments through funding opportunities, customized vehicle design, and hands-on UHP training. Through collaboration, research, and outreach, we’re empowering firefighters to respond faster, safer, and more sustainably.
Your Partner in Progress
The UHP Project works alongside departments to secure grants, design vehicles, and provide the training needed to implement UHP technology with confidence.
Designing the Future
with Experience
Led by Director Lewis Warren, a veteran firefighter and UHP specialist with nearly three decades of experience, The UHP Project offers personalized guidance in vehicle design and system configuration. Lewis works directly with departments to develop UHP-equipped trucks tailored to operational needs—ensuring every build delivers precision, safety, and reliability from the ground up.
